Ethyl Linolenate is an ester of ethyl alcohol and linolenic acid.
Ethyl Linolenate is a long-chain fatty acid ethyl ester resulting from the formalcondensation of the carboxy group of linoleic acid with the hydroxy group ofethanol. It has a role as a plant metabolite and an anti-inflammatory agent. It derives from a linoleic acid.
Ethyl linolenate is being studied as a possible skin whitening agent with anti-melanogenesis activity.
